Improvisation Show and Theater Workshop at Electrabel
The SemiNarrians were able to electrify the Electrabel employee event with an Improv Show and Workshop on company values. Anja Krogh, Assistant to the Board, responsible for the organisation of events, was available for a short SemiNews interview.
SemiNews: Hello Ms. Krogh, how are you?
Anja Krogh: Very well, thank you for asking!
SemiNews: How did you discover the SemiNarren and what was your reason for presenting company values to your employees the SemiNarrian way?
Anja Krogh: The SemiNarren were recommended to us by the consultants at Gitta mbH, the “moderators” of our event. Initially we wanted to handle a different topic, but then we changed our minds at the last minute – which was apparently no problem for the SemiNarrians.
Our company values are professionalism, partnership, environmental awareness, value creation, team spirit and ethics. We wanted to introduce our employees to these issues in an entertaining manner, helping them to internalise and fill them with life.
SemiNews: What expectations did you have prior to the implementation of our methods?
Anja Krogh: To be honest, we considered the whole thing a big adventure. Companies are always cautious when theater acting, creativity and just “getting out of your shell” are asked of the participants – because the next day after the party is a workday, and the acting is over...isn’t it?
SemiNews: Looking back, what was the greatest benefit?
Anja Krogh: The ability to handle concepts which otherwise remain distant. The main task was to internalise and translate these values into specific situations. This worked very well and the employees had a great time.
SemiNews: So, you’re satisfied with the SemiNarrian style and workshop results?
Anja Krogh: Very! The first SemiNarren module was to make introductions and lighten the atmosphere – that’s when we heard the first laughs. In the Creative Workshop, where we developed our own little sketches, the first truly good ideas began to form – the sketches themselves were highly entertaining! Mr. Sachs’ moderation also helped us to convey our message with positive effect.
SemiNews: How was the feedback of the participants?
Anja Krogh: Excitement all around! The best statement was: “Saturdays were usually down days, but this Saturday really took off!” I’m sure they won’t forget what our company wanted them to understand.
SemiNews: Then, you intend to recommend us further?
Anja Krogh: Definitely!
